Heshui is a town in Hunan province, China. It is located in the southern part of the province, within the administrative area of Yongzhou prefecture-level city, in a region characterised by the karst landscapes and river valleys of southern Hunan.
The settlement lies in a rural, agricultural part of Hunan, an area where rice cultivation and other farming activities form the basis of the local economy. Like much of the surrounding region, it is situated among low hills and waterways typical of the terrain south of the Yangtze basin.
Heshui is a small, lesser-known locality rather than a major urban centre, and it should not be confused with Heshui County in Gansu province, which is a separate administrative division in northwestern China under the city of Qingyang.
