Gaocun is a town and the county seat of Mayang Miao Autonomous County in Hunan Province, China. It is located in the mid-northern part of the county.
The present town was formed on November 25, 2015, when Luxikou Township, Liping Township, Gudapo Township and the former Gaocun Town were merged. It covers an area of 187.6 square kilometres (72.4 square miles) and has a population of 104,300.
In May 2016 the town was divided into 37 villages and communities. The seat of local government is at Gaocun.
