Danzhou is a prefecture-level city in the northwest of Hainan, the island province of China. Its administrative seat and main urban center is Nada Town.
The city was upgraded from a county-level city to a prefecture-level city in February 2015, a change that raised its administrative status within Hainan's provincial structure.
