Dayong

China

Dayong is a city in Heilongjiang Province in northeastern China. It lies in the northern part of the country, a region characterised by cold winters and a landscape shaped by rivers and forested terrain.

Heilongjiang, the province in which Dayong is located, borders Russia to the north and east and is China's northernmost province. The region is known for its severe continental climate, with long, very cold winters and short summers.

Beyond its location within Heilongjiang, little verifiable detail about Dayong is available. It should not be confused with the better-known city of the same name in Hunan Province, which is now called Zhangjiajie and is the site of the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, part of the Wulingyuan Scenic Area designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992.
