Meishan is a prefecture-level city in Sichuan Province, China, located in the southwest of the Sichuan Basin. It was formerly known as Meizhou or Qingzhou. The city had a population of 2,955,219 as of the 2020 census.
Of that total, 1,232,648 residents lived in the built-up metropolitan area, which comprises the two urban districts of Dongpo and Pengshan.
