Linjiang

China

Linjiang is a county-level city in China. It is located in the province of Jilin, in the country's northeast, and forms part of Baishan prefecture-level city.

The city lies to the east of Tonghua. It sits along the Yalu River, which forms the border between China and North Korea at this point, so the city's southern edge faces North Korean territory across the water.

Its position on the Yalu makes the river and the international boundary the defining features of its geography. Linjiang is one of several Jilin settlements strung along that border, and the river serves as the natural dividing line between the two countries.
