Huangshi, also romanized as Hwangshih, is a prefecture-level city in southeastern Hubei province, People's Republic of China. It lies in the southeastern part of the province rather than in Fujian.
At the 2020 census, Huangshi had a population of 2,469,079 inhabitants. Of that total, 1,567,108 people lived in the built-up area formed by four urban districts together with the city of Daye, which now forms part of the agglomeration.
