Changle is one of six urban districts of Fuzhou, the prefecture-level capital of Fujian Province in China. It lies on the coast of Fujian, facing the East China Sea and connected to Mawei District by the Min River. The district covers a land area of 648 square kilometers and a sea area of 1,327 square kilometers.
Changle was established in the sixth year of the Wude era of the Tang dynasty and later served as a capital of the succeeding Min Kingdom. It became a county-level city on February 18, 1994, and was upgraded to a district in August 2017 under a government proposal.
The district's economy has grown with an increase in businesses, contributing to Fujian's standing as one of the wealthier provinces in China.
