Taishang

China

Taishang is a town in Ji'an, a county-level city in Jilin Province, China. It is one of the administrative divisions under Ji'an's jurisdiction, located in the southern part of the province near the border with North Korea.

As of 2018, Taishang administered two residential communities and twelve villages. The town's administrative structure reflects the typical organization of rural and semi-urban settlements in the region, combining community-level residential areas with surrounding village units.

Ji'an, to which Taishang belongs, is known for its historical significance as the former capital of the ancient Goguryeo kingdom, though Taishang itself is a small administrative town rather than a major heritage site. The area lies in a mountainous part of southeastern Jilin, a region characterized by a continental climate with cold winters.
