Gaocheng is a town in Yixing, a county-level city in Jiangsu province, China. It is one of the townships under Yixing's administration, located in the southern part of Jiangsu near the borders with Zhejiang and Anhui provinces.
As of 2020, Gaocheng had three residential neighborhoods and fourteen villages under its administration. The neighborhoods are Gaocheng Community, Hongxing Community, and Taoyuan Community. The villages are Gaocheng, Chengxi, Xujing, Gaoyao, Fu, Zhiquan, Meijiadu, Tianshengwei, Fandao, Liuwei, Hongta, Xujiaqiao, Songdu, and Xiaozhangshu.
The town's administrative structure, combining urban communities with a larger number of rural villages, reflects the mixed settlement pattern typical of the Yixing area, where town centers serve surrounding agricultural villages.
