Dainan is a town in east-central Jiangsu province, China, under the administration of Xinghua City. It is divided into 4 residential communities and 33 villages.
The town lies in the southeast of Xinghua City, bordering Dongtai to the east and Jiangyan to the south. It covers an area of 108 km2 (42 sq mi) and has a population of about 93,000.
Part of Dainan's area is known as the "cradle of stainless steel" (中国不锈钢之乡) because of its stainless steel production, an economic activity that has given the town the nickname "No. 1 Town of Central Jiangsu" (苏中第一镇).
