Longping is a town in Jiangxi province, in southeastern China. It is located within the administrative area of a county-level division in the province, in a region characterised by a subtropical climate and a landscape of hills, rivers and farmland typical of Jiangxi.
Like many settlements in Jiangxi, Longping is primarily an agricultural community, with rice cultivation and related farming activities forming the basis of the local economy. The surrounding area is part of the broader Gan River basin, a region long associated with rice production and traditional rural settlement patterns in southern China.
Longping is not a major urban centre and remains a small town whose significance is largely local. Detailed information about its history, population and specific administrative status is limited, and it is best understood as one of the many small towns that make up the rural fabric of Jiangxi province.
