Linquan

China

Linquan is a county in the northwest of Anhui Province, China, bordering Henan province to the northwest, west, and southwest. It is the westernmost county-level division of Fuyang city. The subject is sometimes confused with places of the same name elsewhere, but the reference material describes this Anhui county specifically.

The Quan River, a tributary of the Ying River, rises in Henan province and flows through the county seat at Chengguan before running along the county's northern border with Jieshou.

At the 2010 census Linquan had a population of 1,543,218 and an area of 702 square miles (1,820 square kilometres). It is described as the most populous rural county in China.
