Chuntai is a town in Jiangxi Province, China. It is located in the eastern part of the province, within the administrative area of Shangrao, a prefecture-level city that borders Zhejiang and Fujian. The settlement lies in a hilly, largely rural part of Jiangxi, a region characterized by a subtropical climate and a landscape of low mountains, river valleys, and farmland.
Like many towns in Jiangxi, Chuntai is primarily an agricultural community, with local livelihoods tied to rice cultivation and other crops typical of the province's interior. The area is not a major tourist destination and is not widely known outside the region. Jiangxi as a whole is noted for its porcelain production, its role in Chinese revolutionary history, and its numerous lakes and rivers, including Poyang Lake, the largest freshwater lake in China.
Chuntai should not be confused with the Qing dynasty imperial prince of the same name, who was a son of Giyesu and held the title Prince Kangdao of the First Rank. The town is a separate and unrelated place, and information about it is limited.
