Dongji is a town and administrative division of Putuo District, Zhoushan, in Zhejiang province, China. Rather than a single settlement, the town as an administrative unit occupies several minor islands of the Zhoushan Archipelago.
Its territory includes the islands of the Zhongjieshan Archipelago, the three largest of which run west to east: Huangxing Island, Miaozihu Island, and Qingbang Island. The town also takes in Dongfushan Island, located a few miles to the southeast of those three, along with a few tiny islets farther east at the easternmost extremity of the archipelago.
Dongji is therefore among the easternmost administrative areas of Zhejiang, defined by its scattered island geography rather than by a contiguous landmass.
