Bogo is a commune in the Diamaré Department of Cameroon. It is located in the country's Far North region, the northernmost of Cameroon's ten regions, an area that borders Chad and Nigeria and is characterised by a semi-arid Sahelian climate.
The commune recorded a population of 21,046 in 2005. As a commune, Bogo serves as a local administrative unit within the Diamaré Department, one of several such units centred on the department's principal town of Maroua.
The Far North region in which Bogo lies is the most densely populated part of Cameroon and is home to a mix of ethnic groups, including Fulani and various Kirdi communities. The regional economy is based largely on agriculture and livestock herding, adapted to the relatively dry conditions of the Sahel.
