Kaouara is a town situated in the far northern region of Ivory Coast. It serves as a sub-prefecture within the Ouangolodougou Department, located in the Tchologo Region of the Savanes District.
The town is positioned near the international border with Burkina Faso. A specific border crossing point connecting the two countries is located approximately 16 kilometres northeast of the town center.
