Lobatse is a town located in the south-eastern region of Botswana. It is situated within a valley that runs north toward the capital city of Gaborone and lies near the border with South Africa. The town is positioned approximately 70 kilometres south of Gaborone.
The town functions as an administrative district governed by a town council. As of 2022, Lobatse has a recorded population of 29,772 residents.
