Tamandaré is a coastal municipality in the state of Pernambuco, Brazil. It lies on the Atlantic coast roughly 103 kilometres (64 miles) south of Recife, the state capital.
Its position on the coast is its defining feature, placing it within the string of beach towns along Pernambuco's southern shoreline. As a municipality, it serves as the local administrative unit for the town and its surrounding area.
