Catende is a municipality located in the state of Pernambuco, Brazil. It covers a total area of 207.24 square kilometers and had an estimated population of 43,340 inhabitants as of 2020.

The local economy is primarily centered on the cultivation of sugarcane and the manufacturing of related products. The municipality is historically notable for having once hosted the world's largest sugar mill.
