Itaporanga d'Ajuda

Itaporanga d'Ajuda is a municipality located in the Northeastern state of Sergipe in Brazil. The region covers a total area of 757 square kilometers and recorded a population of 34,709 as of 2020, resulting in a population density of approximately 46 residents per square kilometer.

The municipality is notable for housing historical sites associated with early colonial history. These include the Tejupeba House and the Chapel of the Colégio Sugar Plantation. This plantation house and chapel are recognized as the site of the first Jesuit settlement in Portuguese Brazil.
