Monte Alto is a municipality located in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. Founded on May 15, 1881, the city covers an area of approximately 347 square kilometers and sits at an elevation of 735 meters. The local motto is "Mons Altus Semper Altius."
The municipality has a population of 50,772 residents. Notable landmarks within the city include the sanctuary and mausoleum dedicated to Menina Izildinha, a popular Brazilian saint. Additionally, Monte Alto is recognized as the birthplace of professional football player Vitor Bueno.
