Ilhabela is a coastal city and archipelago located in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of the state of São Paulo in Brazil. Situated approximately six kilometers from the mainland, it is positioned roughly 205 kilometers from the city of São Paulo and 340 kilometers from Rio de Janeiro.
The municipality comprises several islands and islets. The largest island within this archipelago is officially known as Ilha de São Sebastião, though it is commonly referred to by the name of the municipality, Ilhabela.
