Laguna is a Brazilian municipality situated in the southern state of Santa Catarina. It is located approximately 120 kilometers south of the state capital, Florianópolis, and northeast of Porto Alegre. The municipality covers an area of 336.4 square kilometers with a population of 46,122.
The region sits at a low elevation of 2 meters above sea level. A key piece of infrastructure in the area is the BR-101 coastal highway, which passes directly through the municipality.
