Canguaretama is a municipality located in the state of Rio Grande do Norte within the Northeast region of Brazil. It covers a total area of 245.485 square kilometers, with approximately 6.6117 square kilometers designated as urban territory.
The city is situated 65 kilometers from Natal, the state capital, and 1,746 kilometers from Brasília, the federal capital. According to the 2022 demographic census conducted by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), Canguaretama has a population of 29,668 inhabitants, making it the 19th most populous municipality in the state of Rio Grande do Norte.
