Baraúna is a municipality located in the state of Rio Grande do Norte within the Northeast Region of Brazil. The territory covers an area of 825.681 square kilometers, with approximately 9.0255 square kilometers designated as urban land.
The city is situated 279 kilometers from Natal, the state capital, and 1,639 kilometers from Brasília, the federal capital.
