Rocinha is a large favela situated in the South Zone of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It is positioned between the districts of São Conrado and Gávea, located approximately one kilometre from a nearby beach.
The community is built on a steep hillside characterized by significant elevation and surrounding trees. With a population of approximately 72,000 residents, Rocinha is recognized as the most populous favela in the city of Rio de Janeiro.
