Bom Jesus do Itabapoana is a municipality located in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Covering an area of 596.6 km², the region serves as a local administrative and residential hub within the state's interior.
The municipality was officially founded in 1939 following its separation from the neighboring municipality of Itaperuna. As of 2022, the population of Bom Jesus do Itabapoana was recorded at 35,173 residents.
