Itabaiana is a municipality in the state of Paraíba, in the Northeast Region of Brazil. It is one of the state's inland municipalities, located in the Paraíba countryside rather than on the Atlantic coast where the state capital, João Pessoa, lies.
The municipality shares its name with Itabaiana in the neighbouring state of Sergipe, a larger and more widely known city; the two are distinct places in different states. The Paraíba municipality is sometimes referred to with the qualifier "Paraíba" to distinguish it from its Sergipe namesake.
