São Sebastião do Anta is a municipality in the state of Minas Gerais, in the Southeast region of Brazil. It is one of the many municipalities that make up Minas Gerais, Brazil's fourth-largest state by area and its second-most populous.
The municipality is located in southeastern Brazil, within the country's Southeast region, the most densely populated of Brazil's five official regions. Like other municipalities in Minas Gerais, it forms part of the state's local administrative structure, with the municipality serving as the basic unit of local government in Brazil.
Beyond its status as a municipality in Minas Gerais, few details about São Sebastião do Anta are well documented in general reference sources. It should not be confused with larger or better-known places bearing the name São Sebastião, including the city of São Sebastião on the coast of São Paulo state.
