Paraopeba is a Brazilian municipality situated in the northeastern region of the state of Minas Gerais. It belongs to the Metropolitana de Belo Horizonte meso-region and the Sete Lagoas micro-region.
The municipality was officially established as a municipality in 1911. As of 2025, Paraopeba has a population of 24,899 residents living within a total land area of 625 square kilometers (approximately 241 square miles).
