Carandaí is a municipality in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. It belongs to the mesoregion of Campo das Vertentes and to the microregion of Barbacena. The municipality covers a total area of 487 square kilometres.
Its population was recorded as 24,403 in 2025. The city is situated in the Campo das Vertentes, a region of Minas Gerais whose name refers to the fields and slopes characteristic of the area around Barbacena.
