São Francisco do Conde is a municipality located in the state of Bahia within the Northeast region of Brazil. It covers a total area of 262.856 km² and maintains a population of 40,245 residents, resulting in a population density of approximately 150 inhabitants per square kilometer.
The municipality is situated 67 kilometers from the state capital of Salvador. It is notable for having the highest concentration of Brazilians of African descent in the state of Bahia, with 90% of its population identifying as such.
