Viçosa is a Brazilian municipality located in the state of Alagoas. Situated inland within a region that was formerly part of the Atlantic Rain Forest, the city is positioned approximately 86 kilometers from the state capital, Maceió.
The municipality covers a total area of 354.76 square kilometers. As of the 2020 census, Viçosa had a recorded population of 25,693 residents.
