Kavarna is a coastal town and seaside resort located in the Dobruja region of northeastern Bulgaria. Situated within the Dobrich Province, the town serves as the primary center of the Kavarna Municipality. It is positioned approximately 42 kilometers northeast of Varna, 43 kilometers from Dobrich, and 43 kilometers south of the Romanian border.
The town features a variety of maritime and recreational amenities, including a small yacht port, a fishing base, a spacious beach, and a resort complex. Nearby landmarks include Cape Kaliakra to the east and the beachfront resort of Rusalka. The surrounding area is also undergoing development for three 18-hole golf courses with accompanying marinas and villa communities, featuring designs by Gary Player and Ian Woosnam.
