Wondelgem is a sub-municipality located within the city of Ghent in the province of East Flanders, situated in the Flemish Region of Belgium.
The area functioned as an independent municipality until its merger into Ghent on January 1, 1977. Prior to this unification, portions of the original municipality were annexed by Ghent during the years 1885, 1900, and 1920.
