Wilrijk is a district located within the province of Antwerp in the Flanders region of Belgium. It currently functions as one of the nine districts of the city of Antwerp.
Historically, Wilrijk maintained its status as an independent municipality until January 1, 1983. Following the decentralization of the expanded municipality of Antwerp in 2000, it was formally integrated into the city's administrative structure as a district.
