Menen is a city and municipality located in the province of West Flanders within the Flanders region of Belgium. Situated on the French/Belgian border, the municipality encompasses the city of Menen proper along with the towns of Lauwe and Rekkem.
The municipality covers a total area of 33.07 km2. As of January 1, 2006, the population was recorded at 32,413 residents, resulting in a population density of approximately 980 inhabitants per square kilometer.
