Halle is a Belgian city and municipality in the Halle-Vilvoorde district of the province of Flemish Brabant, in the Flanders region. It lies on the Brussels–Charleroi Canal and on the Flemish side of the language border that separates Flanders from Wallonia. The city is about 22 km (14 mi) southwest of Brussels, and its official language is Dutch, as elsewhere in Flanders.
Halle sits on the boundary between the Flemish plains to the north and the undulating Brabant lands to the south. It also borders the Pajottenland to the west.
