Barbados

Bathsheba is a fishing village located on the east coastline of Barbados in the parish of Saint Joseph. The town has a population of approximately 5,000 inhabitants and serves as a primary hub for local fishing activities.

The area is characterized by several historic churches, including the Saint Joseph Anglican Church, which dates back to 1640, and the Little Saint Joseph chapel, which was dedicated to Saint Aiden in 1904. Local landmarks include the Flower Forest and the Cotton Tower, a site noted for its dramatic scenery and views of Scotland District.

The outskirts of Bathsheba feature the Joe's River Tropical Rainforest, an ecologically rich area of roughly 85 acres containing various tree species such as mahogany and cabbage palm. The village is also home to Bathsheba beach, known locally as the Soup Bowl; it hosts annual international surfing competitions and features a prominent offshore formation known as Bathsheba Rock.
