Mildura is a regional city in north-west Victoria, Australia, located on the Victorian side of the Murray River. At the 2021 census, the city proper had a population of 35,652, while the broader urban area including nearby towns such as Wentworth, Irymple, Nichols Point, Merbein, and Red Cliffs reached 58,914 residents. The combined urban area has grown at an average annual rate of 1.3% over the five years preceding 2021.

The city sits on the Murray River, Australia's longest river, and serves as a hub for river-based tourism and recreation. Mildura is accessible by a 1.5-hour flight from Melbourne or a six-hour drive. The region offers houseboat accommodation and cruises along the Murray River, with camping and houseboat sites available between Murray River Lock 10 and Lock 9. Riverside dining establishments such as the Mildura Boat House cater to visitors, and the city features attractions including the Trail of Lights.
