Bürs is a municipality in the district of Bludenz, in the Austrian state of Vorarlberg. It lies in the country's westernmost region, in the Alpine valley of the Ill River near the town of Bludenz.
The area is mountainous, and the village sits at the foot of the Brandnertal valley, close to the Rätikon range. Its position near Bludenz places it within one of Vorarlberg's main transport corridors, linking the Rhine valley with the Arlberg pass route.
Bürs is a small, historically agricultural community that has grown into a residential base for the surrounding area. Notable local features include the Bürser Schlucht, a gorge cut by the Alvierbach stream just outside the village, and the Bürserberg, the mountain slope above it that forms part of the Brandnertal ski and hiking region.
