Vals is a municipality in the Austrian state of Tyrol. It lies in the southern part of the Innsbruck-Land District, the district that surrounds the city of Innsbruck.
The municipality is one of several small communities in the southern Innsbruck-Land District, a largely mountainous area of Tyrol. It should not be confused with the better-known Vals in Switzerland, nor with other places of the same name.
