Rum is a market town in the Austrian state of Tyrol. It lies in the administrative district of Innsbruck-Land, on the eastern border of the city of Innsbruck.
Its position immediately adjacent to Innsbruck places it within the immediate surroundings of the Tyrolean capital, and it is administratively grouped with the other municipalities of the Innsbruck-Land district. As a market town, it holds that status within the Austrian municipal system.
