Prutz is a municipality in the Landeck district of the Austrian state of Tyrol. It lies at the mouth of the Kauner valley on the upper Inn river.
The town is situated about 10 km south of the city of Landeck and 36 km north of the Reschen Pass, which forms the border with Italy. The border with Switzerland lies roughly 23 km to the south-west.
