Oetz is a municipality in the Imst district of the Austrian state of Tyrol. It lies in the outer Ötztal valley, on the lower course of the Ötztaler Ache river, at the foot of the Acherkogel mountain.
The village is situated about 11.7 kilometres (7.3 miles) southeast of the town of Imst, the district's administrative centre. Its position at the entrance to the Ötztal places it along the route leading deeper into the valley.
