Nauders is a municipality in the district of Landeck, in the Austrian state of Tyrol. It is located in the western part of the country, in the Alpine region near the borders with Italy and Switzerland.
The village sits at an elevation of around 1,400 metres, making it one of the higher settlements in the Tyrolean Oberland. It lies close to the Reschen Pass (Passo di Resia), a mountain pass that has served as a route across the Alps since ancient times. The surrounding landscape is dominated by high mountains and the valley of the Inn river system.
Nauders is known as a small tourist destination, with activity centred on alpine scenery and outdoor recreation in both summer and winter. Its position near the triple border point of Austria, Italy and Switzerland gives it a distinct cultural and geographic setting within the Tyrol.
