Ischgl is a town in the Paznaun valley in the Austrian state of Tyrol. It lies in the western part of Austria, in the Alpine region near the Swiss border.
The town is known for its ski resort, which is connected with the resort of Samnaun across the border in Switzerland. Together the two form one of the largest ski areas in the Alps.
Ischgl was a major hotspot in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic in Europe.
