Innervillgraten is a municipality in the district of Lienz, in the Austrian state of Tyrol. It lies in the Villgraten Valley, a side valley of the Puster Valley in eastern Tyrol, and is considered one of the most remote regions in Austria.
The valley's isolation is reflected in its modern infrastructure history: a year-round connection to the valley was established only as late as 1956, meaning the community was effectively cut off for part of each year before that date.
The village drew some tourist and media interest following the death of Pius Walder, a wood cutter and poacher who was shot by Johann Schett.
