Hainzenberg is a municipality in the Schwaz district in the Austrian state of Tyrol. It is located in the Zillertal, the valley of the Ziller river, in western Austria.
As a municipality in the Schwaz district, Hainzenberg belongs to the administrative structure of Tyrol, one of Austria's nine federal states. The Schwaz district covers the lower and middle sections of the Zillertal along with surrounding mountain areas.
Hainzenberg is a small, rural community typical of the scattered settlements found on the slopes above the valley floor in this part of the Alps. It lies near the better-known resort town of Zell am Ziller, which serves as a local centre for the surrounding municipalities.
